It seems that although I have not been posting, someone has decided this blog is a good way to send me crap. very annoying.
Perhaps it is time to retire this blog, although I just did manage to find how to reclaim it. :)

I have neglected this journal. No excuses, just the reality (Oh. what a nasty concept reality is). My reality has had to focus on finding a job. My gaming prospects are very limited at the moment and I need a flavor of something fun in my life.

I have had some card gaming time lately and a movie based DVD/board game but the true imersion in fantasy RPGs have been lacking. My usual gaming group has been spotty from illnesses and Family Holidays. Right now, I expect to finally find time to Game about the last Friday of the year. Pretty Bleak!

Just wanted to update this while I am visiting Blogger and maybe I can try to post more often.

All things considered you can put up and manage 3 or 10 websites very easily. I currently have just the preloaded information but it is worth a look if you have a problem with the background skills to put up a website from scratch.

Enough of that. I went to Balticon and got to play one of my favorite characters through the whole weekend, Aubriana. She is a Sister of Light Priestess (Witch Vocation). I got to use a shapeshift spell into an Elemental.

The party was investigating a castle which had been transported to Alquennas from...? (Mideval France I think) The 'Spirit' who is Saint Bridget appeared to us in the Armory (Appropriate) and told us that the castle belongs to the being who is our major-behind-the-scenes-bad-guy. We had a limited amount of time to strip stuff from his castle as reprisal for his overstepping the bounds in another adventure.

I stepped up and transformed (by spell) into an Earth Elemental and we got to strip and rubble the entire castle. When it returned to its proper space and time, it was barely the foundations left.

I have discovered I have to turn on the comments option for each post. Annoying but I will try to remember to turn the coments on each time.

I am working on so many projects right now, I have not had any time to game at all. My Friday night every other week game got cancelled by illnss, so I am looking back to Balticon wih fondness. I am definately scheduling time for Balticon again, and maybe next time I will take time to go somewhere other than the game room. :)

I expect a Living World Game next weekend at MSD HQ even though details have not yet been posted. If I can catch up on my other projects, maybe I will return to creating the Knight character I started.

More as soon as I can.

Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth like that.
Real life can be so annoying.

I made it to Balticon, and I was going to post the Tarot Readings for those games, but I got caught with the Stomach Flu that is going around. It is 7 days since the onset and I still have symptoms. Nasty stuff.

I played Aubriana through the entire series of C&S games. She is my Healer Witch who is Journeyman to Dutchess Elime' of Kent. We had some really fun players and I think my favorite was the Brit who played the Conjurer pre-gen as Borick the Cook. Hysterical. We actually had a couple times when someone insulted him. I wanted to see what culinary revenge would have been exacted, but the offending PC wised up and apologised, and then saved the Cook's life.

I knew Aubriana was rather higher level than most of the others so I tried to hang back and let others try something first. I did do a few things such as transforming into an Earth Elemental to remove treasure from a castle which was set to leave the plane of existance in a few hours. I not only ensured we would have personal wealth from that but I got to give an entire kitchen to the Cook/Conjurer. I also helped the newly promoted Knight (Samurai) cut terraces into his new lands to grow rice. Since he is the only member of his culture on Alquennas (He crossed over from Earth), Elime' has charged him to recreate his culture here. The player can only manage time to play at Balticon, so this was the first time I have played with his Samurai.

I hav had a week from Hell and I apologise if I have not posted.
Medically I am fine for another 5 years but the tests seem like they will kill you.
Happily I had 'no findings' as the report. Better than my sister had with hers. She can qualify for Amazon Archer now.
You know those stress tests that take all the events in your life and analyse how close to a major stress related incident? Well don't send me the link because I am not going to look at the numbers. Suffice it, I am sleeping in and hoping for a rainy morning. Makes me want a tin roof back overhead just to sleep in properly.
At least 5 friends have been doing some moving and my project for the weekend is the first load to empty the storage room. I may even sell some stuff on ebay. Then there could be freecycle and selling metal and such. But that is safely scheduled for Saturday. Friday is my anti-stress day. After I sleep in, I take the pain meds and go for a long walk. Check if the pool will be open for maintenence swim. Thaw the ham and put it on in the crockpot overnight. Quiet.

What does the knight favor to wear, lets see equipment..., medium war horse stallion, scale mail coif and Hauberk, Might have cuirbolli greaves. Symbolic of the up and down fortunes of a landless knight. You hope to capture a better suit of arms in the tourney, but the armor is servicable. Your pride is your jousting armor, (Battle armor). Your packhorse and riding horses are both mares and you hope to create a small herd for yourself. Better have animal husbandry horses and maybe train war horse. Quite useful skills and a prime choice to continue service after the year. May need to find a groom and seek candidates for a squire.... right, dreaming, but maybe that is a habbit which could be the flaw.

Do we need a distance weapon and a horseman's weapon.Probably, lets move on and decide which one later. And hobbies, what should be my hobbies.... cooking. maybe, its often handy to know how to cook the game you skewered with your lance, so 5 skills in cooking: Butcher Fresh meat, cook meat, camp cooking, stews and soups, and maybe make meat pies.

To earn a plot of land, earn a wage and a share from the Lord's winter stores. (If you don't draw it out as pay or food, you get better deals for the hardware like plowshares or a block and tackel.)

Mystic Station Designs http://www.mysticstation.com/will be running games at ICON 25 in New York, but, due to a glitch, the games were not listed on ICON's webpages( http://www.iconsf.org/ ).

Lady Kena has only done readings for the three C&S games. The Traveler games, Miniatures for Beginners and the Joust do not have readings.I have written my interpretation of the cards to the games. I use the Rider Waite version of the Tarot cards. They seem to 'speek' to me more.

Six days ago the remains of the town’s people were found 600 miles away near the city of Redden A trail that leads into the wilderness south of Redden was found. The party must search out the answers to the question of what happened to the Town of Lament and its people

The party just completed a caravan escort job when they heard of a job opening 200 miles away on the cost in the harbor city of Farehold. The party began to travel to Farehold when countless undead appeared as the sunset approached. The party is being chased by countless numbers of undead believe they find sanctuary in an old keep. The keep was once the home of a powerful necromancer turned Greater Lych that was killed 10 years ago, they think. Anyway the party pursuers will not even enter the outer ward of the keep. The party begins to relax. The hollowing scream was the first and only indication that something was terribly wrong. Now the party is fighting for their lives. If only they can make it to Dawn.

So who is Lady Kena anyway?

Hi, I created Lady Kena as my first 'real' character to play in the Living World of Alquennas. Please see http://www.mysticstation.com/ for more details about Alquennas and events.
She was created at Rising Star, a convention in Salem, Virginia. Kena was a 13 year old commoner (vocation:witch) who was trapped within Dresden Castle while it was held by the Hoarde during the Seige of Dresden. Due to her efforts and the efforts of her freinds who were also hiding there, she assisted in getting important information about the Hoarde out to the members of the Azinian Army. She was proclaimed a 'Hero of Dresden' at the conclusion of this game. That was the first of her accolades as she rose in Power and Status.
Lady Kena de Gray is a Baroness now, and maybe soon, I'll pass on some more of her personal history. I have officially retired the character, yet she is still alive in Alquennas. Occaisionally, she makes her actions known within the gameworld. She is the poor girl who suddenly made good, and developed into one of the Nobility by asking for help (she asked to be adopted by one Knight she trusted). Only after it was done did she realize the tremendous step she had now undertaken.
That is who Lady Kena is really, but as a personna, she will also always be a part of me too.
